Curiosity has been the constant. It has taken me from energy tech analysis and financial journalism in New York and Beijing, through founding a high-net-worth advisory practice, into deep-tech venture building in Silicon Valley and Tel Aviv, and now to helping steer a private probe into the clouds of Venus.

The questions have remained consistent: How do we expand what is possible for humans? What does it mean to build systems that last longer than we do?

I am oriented toward the long game: multi-planetary futures, AI that amplifies rather than replaces human judgment, and the institutions capable of carrying both.

Nephelis is a private space venture building the first dedicated commercial probe to the temperate cloud deck of Venus — a region at roughly Earth-like pressure and temperature, long overlooked as a site for science and eventual human presence.

Project AETHER (Cloudseeker) is a fluoropolymer super-pressure aerostat designed for the 50–55 km band: in-situ atmospheric science, habitability measurements, ISRU pathfinding, and validation of floating-platform technologies that could anchor a multi-planetary backup biosphere. Earth–Venus transit on the order of five months; rideshare-class architecture under study.

The long game is civilizational optionality — not tourism. Probe first; prove the environment; build institutions that can operate beyond Earth. Nephelis is seeking collaboration — engineers, scientists, writers, and builders — via the open project on nephelisindustries.com and GitHub.
